New post

The way people find a real estate agent is beginning to change. They still ask friends and family. They still notice signs, social posts and local activity. But they are also asking Google and AI tools to help them decide who knows a certain neighborhood, price range or type of client.

An AI system cannot confidently recommend someone it does not understand. You can test your own visibility with the prompt below. Use an AI tool that can search the web, then fill in the brackets with your information:

Review my public online presence as if you were a potential real estate client.

My name is [FULL NAME]. I am a [JOB TITLE] working in [CITY, AREA OR REGION]. My brokerage or team is [NAME].

Search for my name by itself and with my job, market and brokerage. Based only on information you can verify, tell me what a client would learn about me, what I appear to be known for, whether it is clear where I work and who I help, and what proof of my experience you can find.

Then identify the five biggest gaps that may keep clients, Google or AI tools from understanding and trusting my business. Give me a simple 30-day plan to fix those gaps. Include the sources you found and do not guess.

The answer may be encouraging. It may also show that your reputation is stronger offline than it appears online.

That isn’t a judgment of your ability. It’s a visibility problem. You may be excellent at your job, but if your name isn’t clearly connected to your market, your knowledge and the people you help, a future client may never get far enough to discover that.

This is something we work on inside the AI workshops. We help agents understand what the results mean, identify what is missing and create the right local content to close those gaps.

The answer is rarely to post more random content. It’s to become clearer and more useful. Your website, profiles, videos, emails and market information should all help a client understand the same basic story: who you are, where you work and why you can help.

AI may help someone discover you. The relationship still has to be built by you. The community is $25 a month. I hope to see you here!
